Meet the Owner

Marcia Weuve, Owner

“Organizing is my passion!” exclaims Impact Solutionz owner Marcia Weuve. “I thoroughly enjoy helping people conquer their clutter.” Marcia has a true heart for helping and has assisted people of all walks of life reclaim their lives by getting organized. Her sense of humor, creativity, and eagerness to conquer a challenge are just a few of the reasons her clients say they love working with Marcia.

She was born and raised in Iowa where she first learned the fine art of organizing from a true organizational expert—her mom. Marcia graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Journalism and honed her organizational and time management skills by working as a television news producer and as a corporate marketing specialist. Most recently, Marcia was a freelance writer based in Madison, Wisconsin.

She currently lives in beautiful southwest Austin with her husband Gary. A devoted “foodie”, Marcia also enjoys running and travel. She has two stepchildren and two step-grandchildren.

The Impact Solutionz Story

Impact Solutionz was founded in September 2002 by Vanessa Schmidt. Working in a job that she enjoyed but that no longer offered any opportunity, Vanessa’s friends strongly urged her to get into organizing. She opened Transforming Organizing Solutions after placing a small online ad and booking two clients. The company name was changed to Impact Solutionz in 2003. From the start, Vanessa’s calling and mission was to provide organizing services that would free people from the clutter and chaos that had taken over their space and their minds.

The business was also created with the intent of giving to people that are less fortunate, specifically women and children. Today, a percentage of the company’s profits go toward helping the underprivileged through Compassion International.

In the beginning the company was a full-service professional organizing firm serving both residential and business clients. Then in early 2005, in an effort to provide better service experience and to target market, Impact Solutionz began specializing in residential organization and no longer offered business services.

Working one-on-one with individuals and families to help them regain a sense of control and to find peace and freedom from the stresses of life is the heart and soul of Impact Solutionz. That is also why the Impact Solutionz logo includes a butterfly, as it symbolizes transformation, restoration, and redemption.

Marcia Weuve joined the Impact Solutionz team in 2005. A novice organizer at the time, Marcia honed her skills and greatly increased her organizational IQ thanks to Vanessa’s patient guidance and comprehensive training. Consequently, Vanessa reached a place where she was ready to move on to other career opportunities. She wanted to see the IS vision continue, but felt her time with the organizing firm was complete. Marcia managed the company under Vanessa for a period of time and officially made the transition to owner in 2006.

Vanessa still serves as an important consultant to Impact Solutionz and her wisdom and compassion will help carry Impact Solutionz into the future. Meanwhile, Marcia is excited about maintaining the vision and is eager to continue helping people become Organized, Calm & Free!
